Powerhour, it is my understanding that the Oct. 25th date isnt set as a preferential shareholder deadline for any consideration in the special dividend,but rather to identify shareholders eligible to vote. Ive been told that they cant backdate ownership so my guess is that they will announce a deadline for ownership after the spin-off has been agreed upon. This was explained to me by someone who has previous experience in a spin-off so take it for what its worth....
