Home Capital Group Inc. is a Canada-based holding company that operates through its principal subsidiary, Home Trust Company (Home Trust). Home Trust is a federally regulated trust company offering residential and non-residential mortgage lending, securitization of residential mortgage products, consumer lending and credit card services. In addition, Home Trust and its wholly owned subsidiary, Home Bank offer deposits through brokers and financial planners, and through a direct-to-consumer brand, Oaken Financial. Its mortgage lending includes classic single-family residential lending, insured residential lending, residential commercial lending, and non-residential commercial lending. RE: 3rd quarter earningsI won't make any specific predictions but I think interest rate margins were better than normal due to the so-called "risk-off" trade. I'm expecting a good quarter for earnings but it likely will not have a big short term effect on the stock price in the current atmosphere. Still too much talk of a Canadian housing bubble. The best thing for the share price would be a softening of prices while we continue to pump out solid earnings.
Hopefully at the CC, we'll find out if they've bought any Columbian banks. :)
