RE: RE: Wpx upwards movement today???
RE: RE: Wpx upwards movement today???The analyst below may be foreshadowing more than he knows....?...thx again fiddle for the initial post and link++
The analyst apprears to have one thing right: India's SWF (sovereign wealth fund)= SOE (state owned enterprise) but the wrong company...he should have said Allana Potash...
And another analyst could easily state that they ...
would not be surprised to see a SOE (state-owned entreprise) take a run at Allana Potash..to form a joint venture or secure a long term Off-Take Agreement in trade for 35% of the Capex required to build the mine...
Wanna bet where the Indian Chips fall or Strategiic Equity Stakes (SES) get invested in due course..?
Do you think Doyle might be on to something?...I do...cause I cant get the numbers to work either...
India is busy...Setting up “a dedicated Sovereign Wealth Fund in due course to finance such acquisitions” would be very important for India long term. Farhad was overseas for a month and I think we will find it in due course if his meetings were to help India “in clinching overseas takeover of assets including strategic equity stakes”
Like Vichniakov, Scotia Capital's Isaacson raised the possibility of a buyer coming in the form of a state-owned enterprise, though he opened the field wider to include other countries that may want to secure supply of potash, a critical nutrient for crops. "Given the recent re-emergence of ‘the potash independence theme' by several emerging economies - Brazil, China, and India - we would not be surprised to see a SOE (state-owned entreprise) take a run at Western Potash in the near-term," Isaacson said in a note to clients.
CEO Potash Corp. Bill Doyle states: “I don't know how you compete with a greenfield mine at today's prices. We know they can't be economically justified. That's why you have no one going ahead with greenfield today,” he said. “We've had a lot of delays in the people who've been looking at greenfields. And the reason is you just can't make the numbers work. There's no mystery to it.”
