Had my eye on this in the past but I missed the golden age and then recently it didn't appear to be a very good stock prospect.  Looks like that was a good call.  However, now it appears to be sufficiently in the dumpster that it looks to me like a good value.

I bought some today.  I tend to prefer gold explorers over gold producers but if the price per ounce is reasonable and they appear to have a promising future then producers may be worth considering.

In general the reality is that precious metals companies, whether explorers, developers, or producers, tend to have large waves up and down and you can probably make money on any of them if you hit the right point in the cycle and you can probably lose money on any of them if you hit the wrong point in the cycle.
