MicroPlanet Australia
MicroPlanet AustraliaMicroplanet technology stabilizing renewable sources [wind, solar, etc.] along with Vanadium Redox Flow
batter storage would go a long way in reducing our carbon footprint.
"The new joint venture with SGP providesMicroPlanet with a significant and active distribution network," saidBrett Ironside, President and CEO of MicroPlanet. "The SGP team hasdeep and effective contacts already established within the utilitycommunity in Australia and New Zealand, and these utilities arebeginning to experience the multi-faceted benefits of voltageoptimization in their power grids. We anticipate that SGP will be ableto efficiently expand the market for both utility and commercialproducts in these thriving markets."
Ironside continued, "I am particularly enthusiastic about the creationof the new and well supported capital structure intended to finance theinstallation of MicroPlanet products on a large scale. This type ofstimulus has proven very successful in the United Kingdom, and we areaggressively seeking certification for commercial products to exploitthese opportunities in Australia and New Zealand as well as the UnitedKingdom."
SGP Director Grahame Foulger added, "SGP sees significant potential fordeployment of MicroPlanet products in both the grid and on customerinstallations to improve power quality, reduce demand, and energyconsumption. The application of the products to enable wide scaleconnection of intermittent renewable sources to the grid is also verypromising. When the carbon tax is introduced a significant proportionof the revenue raised is likely to be directed back into the communityto assist with the reduction of energy consumption and mitigate theimpact of electricity price rises. MicroPlanet's voltage optimisationproducts are well positioned to assist with these objectives"
Deployment of Products to New Utilities in Australia
