Ecuador impulsa proyectos de inversión minera en Canadá

Quito, 17 nov (Andes).- El objetivo es promocionar los nuevos proyectos de inversión en el área minera e identificar los inversionistas que garanticen que la actividad que desarrollen en el Ecuador se enmarque en la normativa vigente, especialmente en los ámbitos empresarial, social y ambiental.

El evento organizado por la Embajada del Ecuador y la Oficina Comercial en Canadá, ha recibido la confirmación de más de 60 participantes de empresas mineras canadienses, grupos de inversión y medios de comunicación social, informó la Cancillería.

La exposición se la realizará este jueves, en la ciudad de Toronto- Canadá, y será presentada por Federico Auquilla, viceministro de Minería del Ministerio de Recursos Naturales no Renovables.

Por otro lado, el embajador del Ecuador en Canadá, Andrés Terán Parral, será el encargado de informar a conocer los lineamientos generales del desarrollo; asimismo dentro del equipo multidisciplinario que viajó hasta ese país efectuará breves puntualizaciones sobre la importancia del evento, detalles y características específicas de los nuevos proyectos mineros, e información general acerca del punto de vista del sector privado sobre la nueva Ley que rige el sector.

Finalmente, se abrirá el panel para absolver las preguntas e inquietudes de los asistentes.

Para el viernes está previsto que la delegación ecuatoriana se desplace hasta la ciudad de Ottawa, en donde mantendrán reuniones oficiales con autoridades del Ministerio de Recursos Naturales de Canadá, con quienes tratará sobre temas de cooperación.
