My aplologies sir you are sensible.   Thought you were just another blind pumper.

  I live in south Las Vegas where mining is all around us.  Hwy south to L/A mines boarders the city.  Our climate is dry so no leaching into waterways.

  I have traveled to Alaska up the Alaska highway.  On the way back I went  through Dease Lake and Smithers to prince George then on home.  Another trip I took was to the Calgary Stampede. I returned going through Banff, Kamloops, the Fraser Canyon to Vancouver then back States side.   Your Country's pristine beauty should be protected by whatever it takes .  What I saw was every bit as beautiful as the Swiss and Austrian Alps in a much more natural setting.
