RE: RE: RE: high risk
RE: RE: RE: high riskThe market has taken in account for the recent deveolpments and share price is currently reflected in that - approaching $1 (50% decrease since June). If you talk to anybody at Curis, Susuie Bell or Michael Mcphie they are pretty open about communication and where the project is going. You never answered my original question: so if you are not part of that group, then you are shorting the stock? Or you just making a generalized comment without any position in the company? (of all the companies on the TSX, VSX you should happened to be following this one very closely and decided to comment?)
The original plan by BHP in the 90's called for "leaching ponds" that had dissolved minerals and waterthat required 20 ponds approxiamtely 80 acres. There is new water treatment technology that will be used: its called :High density sludge treatment. Basically what this means is that the recovery solution after the copper has been recovered is treated via this new treatment which results in heavy sludge containing dissolved copper remnants and other debris. Under the original treatment that BHP had proposed in the 90's, this technology was not available which resulted in large water solutions that had floating debris, copper remnants that had to go into large ponds. These ponds then over time had the water to be evaporated. Now Curis only requires 4 four - five acre ponds (depth of 4 feet) for the entire project. Most of the water after treatment is fresh and is planned to be recycled and used as irrigation. The state land mining will take about five years before they move to the town land. So they will only require 8 acres of the 160 acres of state land for the water treatment - which itself will be recycled. You are free to call the company or the ADEQ to verify this information.
I am long term holder: my assessment is a hold or neutral. Waiting for what happens with the state portion over the next two months. Everybody is entitled to their opinion and investors should be aware of the real facts.
