RE: Take overs and buyoutsI agree with that assessment. Some people here will say that there is no way CUU will accept a buyout below $3, because CUU has traded over $2.70 before. They fail to understand that previous 52 week highs mean nothing when it comes to a buyout offer. For example, AVM was bought out recently for $8 a share, which sounds good, but in 2008 it was trading at $20 a share before the recession hit. So, what you used to trade at doesn't mean bugger all when a buyout offer is tendered. I can also provide tons of examples of companies who were bought out considerably below their previous highs. CUU is no different. People who think Teck is going to offer $3 or more need to give their head a shake. The big bosses at Teck are far too smart and they will low-ball CUU or walk. Simple as that.
