Environmentalists in Quebec.

Environmentalists in Quebec.

Gastem shareholders:

I am getting pretty tired of hearing the people of Quebec badmouthing the oil and gas industry and their concerns about safety of the water and so on. You don't want to waste water?....then close all your car washes, swimming pools and start fining people for watering their lawns. Don't clean the ice after each period at the Montreal Canadian hockey games....it wastes water.

If the Quebecers that oppose the natural gas industry are so concerned about the safety of the product (natural gas) then why are you also not protesting to your government the spending of $2 Billion annually importing it from Alberta ? If it is a safety issue then why are you not protesting in Alberta?....aren't those people at great risk? It is so hypocritical....Natural gas extraction in our backyard....NO WAY !!  (but please keep importing it because I like to cook my meals with it everyday and it keeps my house nice and warm in winter).

"Environmentalists and Social Activists"  of Quebec:

Perhaps when you have a day off from delaying a safe and viable industry (natural gas exploration) that could create thousands of new jobs and millions of dollars in revenue for your province could you do me a favor? Could you round up your supporters (they should have plenty of spare time) and go protest the mining of asbestos in Quebec (that is not used in your province because of the associated health risks) but gets sold to India. That should be right up your alley.

Think about it. Quebec environmentalists and social activists are apparently OK with selling ASBESTOS to India. It is dangerous but who cares?....its not hurting them (personally). Just like their gas from Alberta. Allegedly it is so deadly of a process to extract it from the ground (wake up, it's been going on for over 60 years !) that they form protests.....but still import it !!! Why not?......it ain't hurting them (personally). When it's not affecting them (personally), it's apparently OK. They enjoy the benefits of natural gas and are not exposed to the health risks of asbestos. One they import because they need it and use it everyday and the other they sell to India because it is dangerous and it is no longer used in Canada (but it makes money and employs people). It is so hypocritical and equally ludicrous.

You see a trend here. It appears you can't spell "ENVIRONMENTALIST" without ME. In this case I would say it like this....If it doesn't hurt ME, then I'm OK with it. If I can sell asbestos (even though its dangerous) to India..... its good for ME. If I need to import gas from Alberta because it makes my life easier....it's good for ME.

In Quebec, you can't spell ENVIRONMENTALIST without ME. It sounds so nice I should write it twice (but I won't).

Also......In the past couple of weeks I contacted David Vincent from Gastem about any upcoming news. He said they are currently in the permitting process in New York, essential to their operations and it will influence their fall program. He added that as soon as they have the permits they will issue a press release.

That's all for now folks.
