RE: RE: Peru based Major miners?I'm not a holder of DNT at current (have been in the past) but I do hold a couple other minings stocks with projects in Peru . In answer to your question, the permit process in Peru requires over 100 permits from beginning to end in order to put a mine into production. Since the whole BCM situation the permitting process has introduced extra layers of consultation that require a greater degree of community involvement and environmental review. Going back to one of the stocks I'm in, they were going to start surface exploration back in March of this year in order to prep for drills, but as of today the application is being reviewed but is still not submitted yet. That is already 8 months, and they don't expect to get the permits for another 5 months so that will have been 13 months in total. I'm in another Peruvian play where they were given temporary approvals to operate while the formal permits are reviewed and issued. They've been operating for 7 months already on temporary permits.
