RE: RE: RE: RE: TD Waterhouse won't let you sell aJust to address some of your thoughts.  Usually the algos (computers) are triggered by momentum, e.g. so much movement versus time.  That is how JP Morgan gets the ball rolling on their silver raids and once the algos kick in they cover their shorts by taking the other side of the computer driven selling.  Brokers are the ones who usually run the stops but that is to the downside.  As for the cash Type 1 account, you can try to open an account here in Canada and transfer in kind but many brokerages will not do this.  I am in a margin account and this is probably why they promote that type of account.  You have some good ideas.  As a response to "farce".... don't you think that was a touch harsh? :-)  Have you found somewhere that it states that someone (hedgie) can sell shares that I have for sale already?  Thanks sonofbruno, I honestly do appreciate the counter points.  That is what will make us a better shareholder group.

P.S.  Sonofbruno is correct about people making the easy mistake of putting their share up for sale "at market".... if you choose to follow what I have done... please make sure it is a LIMIT order... I would feel bad if someone unknowingly got knocked out of their position.
