ST. JOHN'S, Dec. 1, 2011 /CNW/ - Today, Rutter Inc. (TSX: RUT) is announcing the receipt of manufacturing orders valued in excess of CAD$4 million dollars, bringing total orders/shipments in hand for scheduled delivery in fiscal 2012 to $12.5 million.
For 25 years Rutter has been a proud supplier of equipment in use by the Canadian, United States and other international armies. Under these purchase orders, Rutter will deliver defense assemblies destined for installation in vehicles designed for the enhanced protection of infantry troops.
In commenting on the new orders, Rutter President and CEOFraser Edison noted "In light of the pressures on government spending and general slower pace of release for recent orders, we are pleased to have a reasonable manufacturing order book in place at this point in our year and believe that these awards are further confirmation of the value we provide to our customers. In addition to our manufacturing activity, our radar products continue to generate significant interest in the marketplace. We have orders/shipments to date in excess of $1 million and we continue to see an increase of quoting activity as compared to the same point last year."
