Petro-Daily

Petro-Daily

Please take this information with a grain of salt.  The source of the information is Petro-Daily.  It would appear the rig is preparing to be moved to the Jaguar location...

It may be possible further news will be announced as it pertains to the future status of the Atwood Beacon.  I am sure the Operators in the region (Murphy, Repsol, CGX, Inpex, Noble, etc.) would like to have the Atwood Beacon remain in the basin...

Jackup Atwood Beacon is waiting on a suitable weather window to mobilise to thefinal well location of its rig-share charter offshore Surinam and Guyana. The rig has concluded operations on Block 31 off Surinam, where it was drillingthe Aitkanti exploration well for Inpex. The final well of the contract will bedrilled for Repsol YPF, targeting the Jaguar prospect in the GeorgetownConcession off Guyana. This deployment should keep the 400ft IC unit occupieduntil around May 2012. Atwood Beacon remains available for charter followingthe conclusion of this commitment.
