RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Every body on acid?Im still very bullish on this stock myself and I suspect Stifel is probably still holding their paper....however....due to the quick run up in price its not beyond the realm of possibility that Stifel conducted a massive short sale. They could have already made a nice profit and are looking at other projects as we speak.
I personally believe CUU to be worth over $3.00 for a number of factors that you cant really put a price tag on (Timing of production, upgrading numbers, expanding deposit etc.), and I personally think $4.50-$5.50 for everything (no spinco) is probably a fair value for the company. Valuation comes based on the enterprise value/oz/lb in the ground, and this is where CUU's polymetallic nature makes it cheaper to produce these commodities as we have 5 metals coming from the same ton of ore, and we have a lot of tonnes. Facts are facts, CUU does hold a lot of value for an acquiring producing company and this cannot be disputed in my mind.
However....If one were to look at notable short sales in the past (VLK, INT)...the graph does look similar. However a lot of mining companies in particular show the same characteristics, but for an advanced institution like Stifel...an orchestrated short sale is a possibilty....albeit a small one, in my eyes.
Just a point for conjecture....I still think weve got a lot of upside on this.
