RE: RE: RE: Cut and Paste is hopeless HERENP, hard to say, but it should be noted. I think the mining lobby in Canada is alive and well and this is a major threat for the viability of Quebec and the Plan Nord. I guess it depends on what any final bill seeing a final reading will actually look like and the powers within that it contains. I can't quite understand how the province sees this as positive for their future plans for mining and the resource sector. If you have 1,000 juridictions that roll over with new politicians every four years, do they really think anything will go forward?
Bill c300 was shot down, mainly due to this mining lobby in the past, which would have made Canadian miners around the world much more accountable to the laws of Canada while governing themselves in other counties where regulations are not as tough. I think this at least had merit from the point of view of the government suggesting that Canadians must operate at a higher standard, although maybe not as competitive, a certain pride can be offered up by a Canadian miner coming into a foreign country with proposed mines and seen as a friendly corporate citizen. Bill 14 however seems like expatriation on a demented municipal level--really not thought out by all stakeholders here.
I am in FMS for the long term, as nothng of note has changed within the company over the past few trading days, I can't suggest this has anything to do with it--but it is hard to ignore that we are trading at pre-accouncement levels a week later. There are enough challenges being a micro cap in this space, we don't need the government killing an entire industry to contend with as well. JMHO
