RE: rapid_fire_1

RE: rapid_fire_1Hi:  Yes, the outcome was roughly as expected to that match-up between us and you.  Remember though, if you had watched the Leaf/Buffalo game the very night before (while the Canucks were in Toronto resting), you would have witnessed a very tough and hard fought battle the outcome of which was solely decided by a bunch of buffoon referrees who blew the game.  As the commentators themselves said on HNIC and on Leaf Radio 640AM Toronto, this was the worst referreed game ever witnessed by those in the know and those who have been calling these games for decades. The infamous cross check on Kessel which led to a Buffalo goal, was never called even though it happened in front of 2 officials.  Phaneuf  received a 5 minute "boarding penalty" + 10 minute misconduct + a game misconduct for a very, very questionable so-called "boarding" when it was the Buffalo player who made it appear as though he was rolled over the boards when Phaneuf only hit him shoulder-to-shoulder.  Why all of these penalties when the league officiator felt that the penalties warranted no fines or any other further action against Phaneuf or the team?  So, the point is that the Leafs came back to Toronto having been robbed the night before and tired and disappointed and had to face the highly-talented Canucks.  And if that wasn't enough, our Coach put the Monster in net.  He hadn't played in some time and he is also shakey.  No excuses unless warranted.  The Canucks are good but not good enough to capture the CUP!

Glad to hear that Saric, one of the usual analysts on the quarterly teleconference has given Innvest a positive rating although his target price for the year, going forward, seems a bit low.  The U.S. is slowly crawling back but everything still hinges on those other buffoons in Europe, I suppose.  They seem to be trying to get their act together now but there isn't a day that goes by when Europe doesn't seem to take centre stage and deflects investors away from the positive news such as the recent better-than-expected results from the Philly Manufacturing Index and the Empire State Index also, plus the surprise drop in first-time (initial) jobless claims in the U.S. to their lowest level in some time now.  Even the U.S. Senate was able to agree on something and extend benefits another few months which is good news too.  Today it was China...tomorrow..the Moon.
