Be careful of some of the things you read on web sites that are posted by the minority opposition supporters in Ethiopia. They are constantly trying to degrade the government at any opportunity to write/post their opinions. Ethiopia is more than 60% Christians and the government has the support of the majority. The government has been striving to bring prosperity to the country and that's the reason we have seen Billions of foreign investment into the country the past several years. Vale just entered the country last week, so both BHP and Vale is there now. The rest of the world has been recognizing this and is the reason why we Ethiopia hosting major world organizations such as the African Union and UNECA.

Ethiopia has strong relation with the European Union:

"The European Commission opened its Delegation in Ethiopia in 1975 and has taken the lead in supporting Ethiopia’s economic development both financially and technically. The objective is to eradicate poverty through sustainable development, democracy, peace and security."
