Cryptic stuff from mobile messaging firm Synchronica, which says it has had an order for extra work from a mystery ‘mobile device manufacturer’.

The £371,000 order will keep the contract going until 2012, said Synchronica, with 50 per cent of the extra cash paid up front.

The company was touting its ability to grab a big slice of a mobile email market it said would be worth £52bn by 2016. The AIM-listed firm climbed 1p, or nearly 22 per cent, to 5.63p.
