Gryphon Gold Corp GYPHQ

Gryphon Gold Corporation is a mine development company. The Company's principal asset is Borealis property. The Borealis Property is 27.5 square miles located in the Walker Lane gold belt of western Nevada. The Company's land position covers approximately 17,600 acres for the Borealis property and over 60 Nevada exploration properties, which cover approximately 70 square miles in the state's gold trends. The Borealis property has approximately 1.4 million ounces of measured and indicated gold resources, and approximately 1.1 million ounces of inferred gold resources have been accredited to the one square mile Central Borealis zone. Its Borealis property has over five other prospective zones that are being explored, which have the potential to host significant gold resources. The Company continued drilling on the Borealis property in the Graben resource, and in the central and western pediment areas.

Ramona...

Ramona...

Doing a bit of reading... Bit of history... Borealis was orignially known as the Ramona district until 1938.

The present day Ramona property lies immediately west of the Freedom Flats open pit.  Option on this property was dropped by Redhawk Resources last year or the year before to concentrate on another more advanced property.  i.e. this property is free for the taking.  See 2005 NR below re: Redhawk updated aerial overview of the Ramona Property.  There are also technical reports on the property filed on sedar via Redhawk if you so desire.

"The trend of these gold deposits projects underneath apparently shallow cover onto the Ramona Gold property."... "These anomalous electrical characteristics of the surveyed area are consistent with those expected from the structure, mineralization, and alteration features known to occur at Borealis"

From Technical Report filed Jan 6 2005: "These anomalous electrical characteristics of the surveyed area are consistent with those expected from the structure, mineralization and alteration mapped at Borealis."

Surprised GGN hasn't scooped up this property... yet.  Or maybe they have?  Would seem the obvious first place to look as GGN 'reaches out'.  Heck it's literally right next door.

Redhawk Announces Ramona Gold Project Aerial Overview

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 21, 2005) - Redhawk
Resources, Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RDK) is pleased to announce an updated
Ramona Gold Project Aerial overview photo and plan showing Ramona's
location in relation to the open pits at the adjoining Borealis gold
mine project can be viewed on our website at www.redhawkresources.com
under the Ramona Property Photos section. The Ramona gold project is
located 12 miles southeast of Hawthorne, Nevada along the
Aurora-Borealis sub-trend of the prolific Walker Lane precious metals
mineralized trend.

The project covers approximately one square mile immediately west of the
Freedom Flats open pit, one of several pits previously partially mined
by Echo Bay Mines Ltd. along the east-northeast trend in the Borealis
gold mine area. Gryphon Gold Corporation is re-developing the Borealis
property under an agreement with Golden Phoenix Minerals, Inc. According
to Golden Phoenix, the Borealis mine re-start is scheduled for late 2005
(see www.golden-phoenix.com for details of Gryphon's latest Borealis
project/resource update).

The high sulphidation epithermal gold deposits at Borealis are hosted
within zones of intense silicification in Tertiary volcanics. The
deposits are structurally controlled and located along a series of high
angle east-northeasterly trending normal faults. Historic drill results
from Golden-Phoenix have indicated structure controlled high-grade
mineralization exists below the near surface lower grade open pit
mineralization. For example, hole FF-229 returned 180 ft of 0.66 opt
gold (including 25 ft of 2.03 opt gold) from the unmined Graben area;
and drill hole FF-125 returned 50 ft of 0.828 opt gold from beneath the
bottom of the Freedom Flats pit.

The trend of these gold deposits projects underneath apparently shallow
cover onto the Ramona Gold property. The GAR survey completed in
November of 2004 indicates probable high angle fault geometry on the
Ramona property, with the primary elements striking east northeasterly.
In many instances the northeast striking high resistivity linears have
coincident anomalous SPG responses, indicative of oxidizing veined
sulphides.

These anomalous electrical characteristics of the surveyed area are
consistent with those expected from the structure, mineralization, and
alteration features known to occur at Borealis. RC drilling is planned
for 2005 on this exciting gold prospect.

R. Joe Sandberg, AIPG Certified Professional Geologist #8322 and
Qualified Person under NI 43-101, is responsible for and approved the
Ramona project technical information in this news release.
