Myriad can't afford to pay that much.

They have no where near that amount of cash... unless it was an equity deal as well

Also, going on at the LSE boards there is an informal coup where some investors are trying to rally together and potentially refuse a buyoff from Myriad if one even takes place

That being said, SYN is most definitely on more radars now then before the announcement but until we all find out more or other companies step forward with an actual bid, the end of January is a long way away
