Question 5 Answered Question 5: Robert Cox ...one of the suggested “double crosser” ….may as well add Alan Finlayson to that crowd, not sure if you Mr. Davis would be categorized as such...while on the topic ...Why would Brent Johnson deal with Paul J Young ( Attorney )...is he out of jail now
Answer: Paul J. Young is a "double crosser" and took advantage of Brent Johnson because he was being released from employment. I was not in that category based on what I did in an attempt to make Utah lawyers accountable for every penny spent as they were representing MWR. In July, 2010 Paul Young conversed with Jorge Lopehandia, Dale Wunderlich and Brent Johnson in a very lengthy telephone conversation right after he got released by Utah Federal Judge Dee Benson. Paul convinced those in Vancouver listening to what happened to him....that he knew how to replace Bob Cox in Reno.
When Paul Young and his Provo, Utah law firm sent Brent Johnson their $150,000. Retainer (plus a contingency fee added) Agreement, I immediately said NO and required my Utah attorney, R. Spencer Robinson, to get directly involved to assist Brent Johnson in the Retainer Agreement. It was a big rip-off. I was ignored by both Brent Johnson and Young's law firm. Brent was very desparate to find a replacement for C. Robert Cox (who had already agreed to dismiss the case with prejudice in Nevada).
When the Retainer (August, 2010) was sent to Brent Johnson, BJ and myself were unaware that Paul Young had been given 2-weeks notice of termination because his employer was closing offices and becoming a very small firm. Paul Young promised them he could get money from Brent Johnson and he did, commencing in October, 2010 - right after MWR hired Alan Finlayson. (Young's criminal case hearing was held on June 29, 2010 where he was released from Federal Probation. He had been disbarred in 2009, but has challenged that action with great recent success)
