JTAB Functions
- Establishes policies and procedures for JITC’s testing, interoperability certification, information presentation, and testing/ certification accomplishment distribution and maintenance.
- Develops and maintains JITC certification policy documents.
- Coordinates command and external efforts to ensure Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and other capabilities/testing documents adequately address interoperability requirements.
- Coordinates external policy document review and participates in applicable working groups.
- Provides action officer training on updated internal interoperability related policies, processes, and tools.
- Reviews all JITC test plans and test reports for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Supports the Joint interoperability certification process (chairs the JITC Certification Panel, provides the panel facilitator, applies/ interprets policies, oversees official certification document development).
- Provides data management of JITC’s System Tracking Program which displays the Joint system interoperability testing and certification status of IT/NSS and the resulting warfighter impact.
- Provides quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports/ briefings on DOD interoperability status.
- Act as JITC’s point of contact for reviewing/ coordinating Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Agreement between JITC and numerous departments, agencies, and commercial vendors for testing/certification services.
- Serves as command point of contact for Key Interface Profile (KIP) and oversees all KIP activities.
