Today's Buy/Sell Volume

Today's Buy/Sell Volume

In spite of the narrow trading range today the buy volume was 873,000 and the sell volume was 406,000.

This is indeed a great sign for longs because it shows that, in spite of the bought deal pps maintenance near 81 cents, there continues to be a significant demand for the stock. If there was no demand the sell volume would be significantly greater. The question becomes who is buying AAA on days like today at 81 and mostly 82 cents.

If its a myriad of houses that would be a great sign because that means that the syndicate is only doing a minimum of price maintence by not letting the pps drop below 81 cents and others like retail investors are picking up the slack. All in all investors seem to be buying from weak hands in anticipation that after 2 Feb this stock is going back above $1.00. Letting the stock run up during last minute RRSP buying season will be in the best interests of the $20M buying syndicate thus I tend to feel that buying at this level will pay off a lot faster than we might expect.

Full Disclosure: still trying to buy more at today's price range.
