With that comparison, you must make one very, very important distinction.

Daylight Energy:  Highly Leveraged

Painted Pony:  100% Unleveraged

Daylight's hand was forced because of their stretched balance sheet.

Painted Pony, on the other hand, has one of the best balance sheets in the industry (remember the $103.8 million private placement they closed on November 8th at $11.80/share?) so they are - in no way - forced into doing a transaction.
