RE: PAA & Orko
RE: PAA & Orko Hi bp,
I too hope PAA is not finished with OK. I believe that PAA's acquisition of MFL is clearly indicative of their desire to add exisiting production and cash flow and their interest in being geographically dominant. This is a theme that was clear in their news release. Interesting choice of wording which in my view reinforces theri comitment to mining in Mexico today and in the future, which is cleary good for OK. I believe large cap companies look for two things: opportunities to enhance their current revenue streams (MFL for PAA) and growth (what OK represents to PAA). I do not believe that the deal is off the table. In fact I believe that PAA remains committed and are not done shopping yet. Silver is going higher, so to will PAA's share price over time. I don't believe PAA is focused on short term share price moves in their stock. They will make moves to generate long term wealth for shareholders, which in my view will include OK in their stable of assets.
