SHP AGM Timing

SHP AGM Timing
On Jan 17 CIVC anounced that SHP had resumed cased hole operations:

Shoal Point Energy also announced today that cased-hole operations continue at its Shoal Point 3K-39 location; this stage of operations is expected to last up to 10 days and will prepare the cased borehole for sidetracking and deepening of the well.

I will remind everyone that one of the most important things they will be doing at this stage is the cased hole test that they indicated they would be doing LAST SUMMER before they plugged the hole.

CQV's July 7 2011 NR states:

The operation is proceeding to run casing to 1725 meters, and is planning, subject to CNLOPB approval, to run a cased hole test over the open lower carbonate-rich section of the well to the total depth of 1745 metres, from which promising hydrocarbon indications were encountered during drilling and logging operations.

Read back through my posts for detail. There's a lot of chatter lately about when we will be getting permits but it's a given that these will be obtained. The REAL news in the short term will be the results of the cased hole test. If current operations are to take up to 10 days then that means by Jan 26 they should be done.

Jan 26... hmmm.... That happens to be the date of SHP's AGM. Coincidence?

OF COURSE NOT!

They may announce results of these tests at the AGM or sometime soon after but it will be coming. We're also waiting for more results from last year. CIVC's July 26, 2011 NR states...
the Company is waiting for the results of the core analysis being
undertaken by Ingrain Digital Rock Physics Lab in Houston, Texas. These results are
expected to complement the log analysis carried out by NuTech Energy Alliance. In
addition, discussions have commenced with a major petroleum consulting company to prepare an initial resource estimate and 51-101 report.

I would think that someone going to SHP's AGM tomorrow will be bringing up these topics. Maybe we'll get something useful back from that.

Fasten your seatbelts :-)
