The chart on page 7 is interesting.  It outlines how much the Chinese consumer have spent on clothing in the 10 years ending in 2009.  In 2009 it shows spending of a hair less then 1.1 Trillion RMB.  That's $175 Billion Canadian dollars worth of clothing.  The other point the chart makes is that in the last 5 years the increase in spending by the Chinese consumer has been growing at 20.6% annually for the last 5 years.

If this trend continues, China alone will need $35 Billion dollars worth of more clothing next year then they did this year ... an so on, and so on.  That is a lot of cloths that requires a lot of textiles.  We haven't even looked at what India might want or Brazil or even the developed world, for that matter.

Anyways, not ground breaking but a very interesting trend.
