My mistake, I should have said any treat of civil war is between the Sunni and Shiites ARAB factions, with the Kurds on the sidelines. The Kurds have a totally different language.

 

As for your 1995 civil war, I believe that was actually Saddam Hussain punishing the Kurds for supporting the coalition in the first gulf war. Genocide would be a better description than civil war.
