Revenue model!
Revenue model!Hi All,
Regarding the question about revenue, I attended the April 27 CIC shareholders meeting and questioned CEO Rick about this. He explained in detail and I summarized it briefly in a post on the SI thread. (link below) CIC4Ever, I feel it differs from your explaination is some ways. Rick told us the phones, PDA's, etc will generate $2-$5 per device sold in royalties. I will say a basic smart cell phone will probably fetch us about $2. They estimate that by 2003 (I think?) there will be about 1 billion cell phones in use in the world. I would estimate that each phone is replaced by a newer tech one about every 3 years. If it is true (all but confirmed by CEO Rick) that Motorola, Nokia & Ericsson, the three top cell phone manufacturers, will base their embedded encryption on CIC technology, then we could be looking at over 500 million phones at $2 each or $1 billion in royalties over the next 3-4 years. This is very realistic IMO.
Bill Gates spoke of better security methods in PC's this week using signature cards and encouraged the PC companies to start moving at incorporating this tech into their products. This will likely also be a large opportunity for CIC technology to secure those signature cards. Lots of good stuff coming down the pipes, we just need to be patient & ignore all the doom sayers who know nothing about this company and technology in general. Cheers!!!
