RE: RE: Reply I
I guess with my inclussion, franjul will also label me as a "pumper"- but do I care?????
So with the above label out of the way, here is some additional info that I rec'd a week ago:
"The spin-off of the Haib copper project. This process also was longer than we would have liked, but before divulging any information, we wanted to get all the pieces of the puzzle in place.
The biggest issue that we have had to deal with is the fact that what we are trying to achieve is neither a pure spin-off nor a pure listing. Therefore, we have found ourselves in a regulatory grey zone, and we needed clarity from our consultants before moving forward. The Corporation structure, fiscal, and regulatory questions now resolved, we are ready to move forward with the listing, and inform our shareholders of the path taken. This issue resolved, we then needed to have the required independent technical reports prepared.
By the end of January, the independent technical staff mandated to prepared all the required reports for the spin out should have completed their task. This will allow us to send these documents to the TSX Venture for their approval. Once the technical report will have been approved by the TSX, then it will by easy for us to present the accurate time line for the actual dividend spin out.
The Haib project offers a great value for our shareholders and the company and by announcing the pathway we will be taking toward the listing, this will relieve a lot of negative clouds on the stock.
One point is very clear; Teck is highly supportive of our venture, and they have also agreed to bring to the project another concession that is very well situated and we are looking at 2 others to eventually have a good and attractive concession portfolio."
