Analyst upgrade confusion

Analyst upgrade confusion

Question: What are the reasons/catalyst for all the recent analyst target upgrades ?

If the answer is:  the recent LSQ announcement , then I'm confused.

In theory,  given that  the recent analyst upgrades are usually for a period 12 months out (i.e. Spring 2013), this should  have nothing to do with LSQ , given that LSQ production won't start until just under  24 months from now.

Or are the reasons for the recent  upgrades due to other non-Lsq issues? (i.e. such as stabilizing DP prices, greater certainty re:Thurso execution)?

ANy insight you could provide would be appreciated.

Note; Also, after LSQ announcement, DUNDEE downgraded FTP from TOP PICK to a BUY.
