I have no problem with news at anytime the market is open. Friday morning is fine with me. The only bad news release is Friday after the market closes.

 

In the past GAP has often run up prior to a release, sometimes on the Friday prior to a Monday release. Of course the most famous was the one on April 17,08 which was a Thursday. I'll gladly take another one of those. I think this time many more people are watching.
