RE: RE: .04 I agree its a great deal for San Gold and it should work out for shareholders of both WEL and San Gold long-term.
However, for the same reasons that you mentioned (lots of other property in area, properties are adjoining, and majors cannot buy WEL's land) I have some concern about how quickly WEL will see the benefits. San Gold may focus on its other assets, knowing that WEL's are now safe from buy-out/takeover. I agree they are doing some exploratory drilling, but I do not know if their heart is really behind it yet.
Likewise, if no majors can come and buy-out WEL, there is almost no prospect of a share price explosion, unless WEL gets bought out. However, given that San Gold has the rights now, what is there left for a major to buy anyways?
I want this one to run and I'm hoping for the best here, but I am somewhat concerned. Like I said, it will be interesting to see at the convention how much the reps from San Gold really know about the WEL acquisition/new properties.
