Golden Band Resources Inc GBRIF

Golden Band Resources Inc. is a Canada-based gold producer engaged in exploration, mine development and extraction of gold ores from its properties in the La Ronge Gold Belt in northern Saskatchewan and processing at its Jolu mill. It has assembled a land package in excess of 870 square kilometers (km2) that includes thirteen known gold deposits and four former producing mines, which were Star Lake, Decade, Komis and Jolu. The Company is mining at three deposits to feed the mill. These are Roy Lloyd, Greywacke and Golden Heart. Roy Lloyd mine is an underground mine extracting ore from the Bingo deposit. Golden Heart is located approximately nine kilometers east of the Komis mine and is accessible through a 17-kilometer mine road connecting to Highway 102 just north of Brabant Lake.

Komis for Skeptics

Komis for Skeptics

I don't know how many people checked the link to the Gov't Archive for Komis. It described the 5 sub parallel zones of Komis. Here are the economic implications of the zones. Take into consideration I likely have no idea what I am talking about and it is all speculation.

It is determined thru historic production that the average head grades processed were 7.8 g/t. Ore grades were 6.27 g/t in the A Zone and 8.5 g/t in the C Zone. For average and eaze of calculation purposes, investors can go low side and use 6.5 g/t as the ore grade for the entire Komis Deposit. The specific gravity is the same as the EP Deposit of 2.74 kg/m3. Using these 2 numbers and the strike dimensions investors can determine tonnages, grams, and ounces.

Zone A is described as 30 to 40m strike length, 80m depth, and even though the zone is said to be 18m at surface, is described as having a 5m width.

How many tonnes of ore and more importantly how many ouncesof gold does that equivilate?

Tonnes of Ore: 30m X 80m X 5m = 12,000 m3 X 2.74 kg/m3 = 32,880 Tonnes

Grams and Ounces of Gold: 32,880 tonnes X 6.5 g/t = 213,720 grams divide by 31 = ~7,000 oz

Zone B is described as 70m strike length, 70m depth, and a 3m width.

Tonnes of Ore: 70m X 70m X 3m = 14,700 m3 X 2.74 kg/m3 = 40,278 tonnes

Grams and Ounces of Gold: 40,278 tonnes X 6.5 g/t = 261,807 grams / 31 = ~8,700 oz

Zone C is described as 100m strike length, 140m depth, and a 8m width.

Tonnage: 100 X 140 X 8 = 112,000 X 2.74 = 306,880 tonnes (the main zone lucky it was Zone A with the low grades)

Gold: 306,880 X 6.5 = 1,994,720 / 31 = 66,000 oz

Zone D 75m strike length, 110m depth, and 3m width

Tonnage: 65,815 tonnes

Gold: ~14,000 oz

Zone E 25m strike length, 140m depth, 3m width

Tonnage: 28,770 tonnes

Gold: ~6,000 oz

Total Tonnage: In all likelihood the tonnages from historic mining should be subtracted.

474,623 - 120,500 tonnes = 354,123 total remaining tonnes

Total Gold: Same for gold. ~101,700 - 29,000 oz = 71,700 total remaining oz

Use the gov't archive link to see if these estimates are too high

https://www.ir.gov.sk.ca/dbsearch/MinDepositQuery/default.aspx?ID=0425a

So using the 354,123 tonnes and a mining rate of 300 tpd. I would speculate Komis to have ~1110 days or 3 years worth of production ore.

It should be added that the Komis Zones are not necessarily limited by what the archive information states. The Phase 1 drilling program by Golden Band offers encouragement of continued length and depth.

The multiple intersections and grades of the ~300m deep holes KO-10-07 and KO-10-08 testing the down-dip extension (continued depth) confirm the high grade ore continues and is open at depth on at least one of the 5 zones. And by the intersection on KO-10-08 of 4.99 g/t over 7.02m, I would speculate that hole was testing the C Zone (zone with an 8m width). Continue looking at the intersections on that hole - high grade intersections at 175m, 185m, 260m, 270m!!

https://www.goldenbandresources.com/html/news/press_releases/index.cfm?ReportID=203224

I am fairly certain I don't recall any previous drilling by Golden Band on the Komis Deposit. But looking back on the 2002 Tech Report on Sedar there is a History of Exploration of ~361 holes from 1960 to 1995. But the deposit was likely tested no greater than 175m below surface as the deepest average program was 49 holes totalling 6,841m. Therefore the 2 deep holes drilled by Golden Band are extremely significant.

As for the strike length it must be open as well considering the 3 holes - KO-10-04, KO-10-05, KO-10-06 - were said to test the western extension of the strike. Believe me, your guess is as good as mine in regards to which zone was tested. But I know I liked the multiple intersections from depths as shallow as 20m to as deep as 250m.

That's about it for my speculative B.S. in regards to Komis.
