I have the impression the patents were "sold" (read given away)  together with the manufacturing business. Hope I'm mistaken. Why didn't they licence them instead? Clearly actions not in the best interest of UBS and its non-majority shareholders.

About the various ministers mentioned, hard to prove those allegations.

About warehousing the spectrum licenses, sure seems to have worked out that way, and quite nicely for IWP (=B+R).
