Today's Stock Price

Today's Stock Price

I'm guessing, as Goldblack posted earlier, that this downdraft in stock price is option related and not much else. Also, volume is still below the average daily volume as it's been for several days, if I remember correctly. Certainly not a bad sign.

However, I hope the weakness in the price isn't somehow being helped a little for the benefit of a larger mine getting its ducks all lined up just waiting in the wings to pounce on GCU. Of all my juniors, GCU was the only one red most of today and noticeably so. Hard to believe it's bad news lurking out there. Makes little sense, other than the options, why anyone would be selling a high quality junior with supposed great news in the making in a market like today.

But then I remember that I was an early buyer in ECU, a small miner that kept piling up huge amounts of high grade silver/gold in the ground. So in the face of all the ongoing good news, I watched in disbelief as the stock was walked stairstep-like down from around 3.50 to less than a buck when a large miner then stepped up and took it over. That sort of happening is always suspicious to guys like me but it is what it is, especially in nasty times like these.

And so it seems to me, if GCU has the goods, it has to be looking more attractive to some of the majors as the price drops.
