Big Picture GPD hitting a couple of impressive high grade intercepts is probably a bit overdue considering the expertise and land holdings they have. But, it will happen again multiple times in the next couple of years. Also, they almost certainly will continue to hit significant and shallow mineralization in excess of 50% of the holes they drill. They have royalty interests and I would bet Sherriff adds to those as he goes along.
They are also set to begin small scale production within the next year or so. Even with delays, probably by mid-2013.
The big picture is that they are well funded and they are in the process of developing a mid-level gold mining company with multiple projects. Psychology is a strange thing. They have been regularly hitting low to mid grade shallow intercepts and it is obvious that they are proving up what will become very large, if not massive deposits from those. It was simply a matter of time before they hit a couple of high grade holes, yet the market did not believe it. Otherwise the SP would already be well over a dollar.
This company has the very real possibility of making patient medium to long term investors rich. For a junior it is very low risk if one invests for a minimum of 2 to 3 years. Of course there are many good juniors out there now with similar prospects, but this is one of the best. I suggest anyone who wants to short cut his/her DD time and effort go back and look at Scottiepimp's excellent DD writeup from last year, then look at developments since that time.
Sorry to sound like a pumper but I have lost money on several gold juniors this past year, including GPD. Some may come back or not, but none have the combination of land holdings, expert dedicated management, drill results, cash, business momentum depressed SP that GPD has, even after today's runup.
