My take

A long halt means that no news release was prepared.  Therefore they received unexpected material bad news last night or this morning and are now crafting a news release to reflect such.  There is no other reason for such a lengthy halt.   INT feel good news releases are historically prepared well in advance with known information like user numbers etc. .   Time for you rookies to be schooled.
