RE: Massive black jack ..sphalerite foundHey Racotomolala found your other posting and copied this from it so others on the bullboard can see. I'm assuming this is the same area of property where Havila is located......thanks for tracking down more info.
The Caucasia Gold Property mineral ownership consists of numerous Concessions Blocks covering a contiguous area of approximately 32,000 hectares (See maps below). The corresponding surface ownership is likewise under control/ownership.
The Caucasia Gold Property is classified as a placer gold deposit of considerable size. As noted, the Property covers an area of 32,000 hectares and the gravel layer, which outcrops at numerous places within the property, is reported to be 40 meters thick. Assay results from the gravels are reported to be consistently 1.5 – 2 grams of gold per tonne and are reported to be spread ubiquitously throughout the gravel from surface to bedrock. It is noted that the existing small scale mines, are extracting gravel from the top 5-10 meters of the pay-gravel and that generally, placer deposits increase in gold content with depth.
