My interpretation: With the US economy doing better than expected and with many US economic numbers firming up it appears the US is finally and very slowly pulling itself out of recession. There will be no need for a QE3 (quantitative easing, round 3).  All the gold bugs and market speculators who had been boldly predicting for many months that QE3 would happen - and gambling on it - are busy crapping in their pants right now.
