RE: RE: A Good Laugh Shane, you ungrateful little punk. Instead of being a baby you should be thanking me for posting after a long hiatus. If you read my post I provided some valuable insights into some of the issues with Cline.
I should also point out that it appears that Cline will be producing a mid vol coking coal. If that is the case, then this coal trades at a discount to benchmark low vol met coal. I saw an RBC report this morning where according to Platts low vol Aussie hard coal is trading on the spot market at US$212/tonne and mid vol coking coal is at US$187/tonne. They didn't mention PCI prices but I am going to guess it's in the US$150 range. I know Cline mentioned that some of the coal has lower ash content which would improve the pricing. The question is what is the product breakdown when they produce 1.7million tonnes and 3.0 million tonnes.I also expect a further discount in prices that Cline will receive due to them being a secondary producer. Even at 3 million tonnes annually that puts Cline in the same size range as GCE. Small compared to Teck, Walter,Peabody, in terms of annual met coal production.
Two posts in one day. What a helluva guy that Mr1derful is.
