RE: ManlRE: RE: RE: May/June
RE: ManlRE: RE: RE: May/June Johnny, I agree about a deal not happening for a while, but one year? I am thinking more like 2 or 3 months maximum. They are probably talking to more than one company because a deal would have been done by now or dropped if there was only one interested party. Negotiations have been going on for around for four or five months (I am guessing that they were talking to a bidder at least a month before Dec 7th when they made it public). I do believe that a major if not more than one has had contact with OLE. There is not an abundance of 5 million ounce plus properties out there. After these many weeks, they ( a major) have had more than enough time to at least kick the tires. The fact that the price is still low does not mean in any way that they have not talked to a major. There is absolutely no benefit for OLE or for a bidder to want the price of the stock to be higher before a deal is anounced. I beleive that barring a rediculously low offer, we will have a deal no later than May. Lastly, the fact that they have not had a press release in almost 4 months (Nov 16th) should be enough to prove that something is still in the works. Comments?
