30,000ft View: How Will This Play Out for LOGM?
In defending itself against 01’s lawsuit, LOGM asserts, among other things, that its
remote access products function differently from the technology described in the
’479 patent. This is a highly complex issue which is beyond the scope of this note.
However, we have always believed that the technology behind LOGM’s platform
is unique, and is the key factor differentiating its solution from others.
We think the likelihood of the worst-case scenario (i.e., injunction) materializing for
LOGM is low for the reasons we described earlier. We do think it’s plausible that
both parties will decide to reach a settlement in order to forego years of future
litigation. Such an outcome would be a major catalyst for LOGM’s stock, in our
opinion.
