Mohamed Said Atom’s Galgala Militia Eyes Puntland Somalia Oil

The Galgala Militia of Somalia Puntland have formed around the recently discovered oil fields of Somalia Puntland.

Sheikh Mohamed Said Atom’s Galgala militia, a dreaded clan militia is now in control of the areas where oil was discovered by a Canadian oil exploration firm.

Oil exploration began January 2012 and quickly yielded positive results with huge oil discoveries in Somalia being reported as life is squeezed out of Al-Shabaab.

The Galgala militants have often killed Somali Puntland forces and them taking over the region where oil has been found is a game changer

The need for resources to help offset rebuilding and stabilizing the region would see British SAS sent to secure the fields as intensified British interest on Somalia takes a new turn.

Canadian firm Africa Oil conducted seismic tests and the results promised huge oil deposits in Puntland Somalia.
