A hidden bug in D's office a few weeks back

A hidden bug in D's office a few weeks back

D ---Hello, this is D  CEO of F   How can I help you?

G... Hello D it's. G from A  I don;t think we'll be able to do business,  we're pretty sure we'd get crucified in the courts if we accept that fantastic offer you made to us to take over that operation.

D.... Gee was I asking too much?

G.... No on the contrary  I think your offer is way to generous to us by at least 70%  Didn't you have a value of that operation  at such and such just a few months ago?

D... Yeah we did, but hey we're dealing with Canuks remember,   they can't count, too much snow up there or something and their brains freeze, heck look at how much we took them for already.

G.. Well yes but that was through offerings  here we're talking highway robbery and these guys are pretty quick on the uptake.

G...   SO I propose this,  we will pay 25% more than you offered us the operation for  that way they will get at least a pittance of what they are rightly owed and you guys can keep the rest to divy up between the bond holders and whoever else you might think deserves a piece of the cake.

D...That's a great idea G  we will still have a really nice chunk of change, I can relax for a year on my severance and then go back to managing a mine in the proper way.

G.  You going to take a whole year off?

D... Heck yes, actually with the severance I will get, I would be able to take 5 years off but the other operation's Managers job is waiting for me in a years time....

D.,,, Did you like the way I was able to let go of those extra help?  Never needed them in the first place  but had to blow away a lot of money to make it look good,  you know fix a shaft that we knew we were closing, bought enough lumber to tunnel for 5 years,  it's still there  when we need it BTW.

G...  What is sad though is that a number of miners got bored sitting aorund doing nothing and got hurt in the process by actually working since you never thought anybody would actually be mining down there

.

D.. Yeah you're right G   We had everything planned,  but everytime we came out with a problem a fix was found so we had to make up a problem that nobody could fix...  Then we offered the rest to you and another party...You in?

G.  Heck yeah.... See you at the club tonight,  they are serving Canuk on a spit I hear....
