RE: Inflection Point for nat gas??

RE: Inflection Point for nat gas??

Good luck with natural gas cars.  I doubt that's the answer to the NG glut.

I'm speaking from experience here as I worked 35 years in the NG industry and know a thing or two about NG vehicles.  There are two major problems:  refilling infra structure and the cars themselves.

NG vehicles have very limited range (100 miles or 160 km) and need constant refills.  Hence unless you are service vehicles (taxis or delivery trucks) that check into a refilling depot constantly.  It's not very useful to you as a passenger car.  Also, there is no trunk space as the tank takes up most of it.  So those stations have to be around the city.  Currently there are none.  The other one is NG cars have no power!!   If you have driven one (which I have for a while) you would hate it!

My company has tried to launch NG vehicles for the last 30 or so years and nothing ever came of them.  Even the executives who were forces to drive them hated them.

Let's say there is a lot of work ahead if they think NG vehicles is the answer.
