Stuff!Hi everyone,
I am on the road again and have a slow modem and am tight for time but wanted to make a couple comments. King-of-Kings, part of your post did not seem right to me. The $490 shareprice by Dec 2000, could you clarify this point, thanks.
As for the Tele2 deal, they had been negotiating price and terms for some time now. I certainly do not know what the terms are but it has been in print and confirmed to me and others by Hatim that the IWiLL box will probably sell for about $500 by the end of 2000. That may put the deal announced yesterday at $3.5 million. There is probably other cost involved as well for service, installations, maintenance, support, etc, so lets say it could be $4-5 million. However up until now Tele2 was using hoppers, 90% of this deal is for IWiLL 30 MBPS units. This changes everything. These boxes will be built using the Philips Asics which pushes the cost, size, power requirements, performances, etc into new realms. I expect sales for WIN to ramp up quickly with this new environment. This order may only be a +for now+ type order, 7,000 is not too many. It may be increased or added to later. Remember also that Millicom is going to role out a network in South America. I suspect this is likely just the tip of the iceburg, a get our feet wet and try the IWill product first before committing too much. I will email IR when I get home and ask a few questions. More later! Cheers!!!
