The objective of the drill program is to extend or find economic ore.
Judging by the the assay values in the press release (holes 1 and 2) if the pending 12 holes have similar mediocre values then it will obviously be time to reassess before the exploration budget is depleted and determine other higher potential drill targets.
If the current geological exploration team is unable to do this then it will be necessary to reevaluate and inject the fresh expertise that can get the job done.
In regards to Western Areas (WSA), it seems that WSA has yet to achieve any measure of success with lower grade Nickel-Copper-PGM deposits in Canada, relative to their success achieved with high grade deposits in Australia (some of the highest nickel grades in the world).
These lower grade deposits in Canada are a new challenge for Western Areas.
Can WSA deliver in developing mineable ore deposits in Canada???
