INERAL RESOURCE CALCULATION

The drill program presented in Canaco's 2011/12 exploration program has been designed to support the completion of an initial mineral resource calculation at Magambazi expected by the end of Q3 of fiscal 2012. Based on rig availability and anticipated productivity, delineation drilling for the purposes of calculating the initial mineral resource estimate was completed by mid-February 2012. Canaco initially intended to complete an initial NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate on the Magambazi zone by the end of 2011, however the expansion of drill targets (Western Lodes), and the need for infill drilling has delayed the estimate.

The initial mineral resource estimate is on track for completion at the end of Q3 of fiscal 2012 under the supervision of James Gray, P. Geo, of Advantage Geoservices Limited, Maple Ridge, BC, Canada. In addition to various field and operations roles, the majority of Jim's 26 year career includes responsibility for resource modeling and project evaluations at Teck Resources Limited and then at Fronteer Gold.
